You might be able to enter a field with just a bio degree like i did. Or if you’re having trouble starting a career, you can get a masters degree in a more specific area. I know mds, dvms, phds, mss, as well as leaders in biotech who all had biology undergrad degrees. For example, i could take molecular evolution (fun) or general microbiology (difficult). A biology degree can be good for pursuing graduate studies but most people don’t give a shit that you can name the parts of a bug. I can choose either fun, mostly useless classes or more rigorous slightly less fun but probably beneficial classes. I thought i wanted to go into the medical field but the realities.

I got a bs in biology and an almost perfect gpa. Weba basic science bs (which is typically the study of nature and animals, insects and such) does not give enough education on things that are important to other sciences.
